Sophie's homecoming

Today we gave my mom a cat for her birthday. The cat's name is Sophie and she is super sweet. We had a little pot luck lunch/dinner at my parents house to celebrate and ate a turkey cake. It was mmm, mmm, good. It was all very low key and laid back but it worked out great since we basically just threw it together with very little effort. Baby it's cold outside...

Well winter has hit. Everyone seemed to be taken by surprise this year (including myself). I think because it has been so warm until recently. When the storm hit on Wednesday there were something like 40 accidents in the morning commute. Crazy!!! Anyway my little man Bert always looks sooo cold out in the yard so I made him his very own little coat. Today is the first day he is wearing it so I hope he doesn't trash it while i'm at work. We are supposed to go to the dog park this afternoon with My friend Liz and my parents dog Harley. Wish us luck!

Today is the day boys and girls. History in the making! So far Obama is in the lead but I am keeping my calm until all the votes are counted. Woo Hoo! ok maybe just a litte excitment.

Just paid all my bills, it sucks to be poor. I'm still waiting for the lottery to come through for me. No frills for me anymore. I have to come to my parents house to use their internet or stay after work. Maybe I should get a second Job. Nah! Anyway this entry is just so I put can pictures of Zin for Marianne. She's up to something, i'm just not sure what.

Back to the grind

Hi all,

Back to work today. I have lots of pictures from the Halloween party on Saturday but we were busy at work today so I ran out of time. I will add them tomorrow. Sorry

Happy Halloween!!!!

Boo! Happy Halloween everyone. I am sneaking a few minutes to update my sad, sad blog.

Yesterday we celebrated Halloween here at AMD and my team won the costume contest and the decorating contest. We dressed as KISS and we rocked the house! I make an ugly rock star though. It was a lot of fun but I could not wait to get my make-up off and wash the black out of my hair. Tomorrow I am going to a Halloween party with a friend and the theme is Carnival Sideshow. I am going as a (bad) knife thrower and my friend is going as the volunteer target. I have no idea what i'm going to wear yet. I usually have my Halloween costume ready to go but this year have been busy with my house.

The rest of my life is pretty much the same working, paying bills, sleeping, playing with Bert. That's about as exciting as my days get. I've been watching a lot of Animal Planet lately and now I think I need to be an animal cop. The hours probably suck though. Oh well.

Let's see what else.....

Oh I entered the 30 day novel writing thingy on the internet. This website Josh told me about does a write-a-thon thing every year and you can sign up and write a novel about anything in 30 days. I guess I should say you can try to write a novel. I don't even know what i'm going to write about and it starts tomorrow. I'm sure I will fail but it will be fun to play around with it. The website is nanowrimo.org and as the month goes on you can upload what you've written and it will count the words for you. The goal is 50,000 words in one month. That's about 1667 words a day, yikes! Maybe i'll just start writing down every word I hear throughout the day. Oh well, wish me luck.
