The Salty Sailor and the end of a Decade

Yesterday was the last day of my twenties and it ran full steam ahead into my thirties. The morning was slow. We slept late and Had lunch then wandered around to see what activities were happening around the ship. We played some bingo and ate some lunch then it was back to our cabin for a nap since we had worked so hard trying to win bingo. After a nap it was time to get ready for formal night again. This time we got ready quickly because we had slept so late. At dinner we saw all of our table mates and grilled Lucy about the man we had seen her with last night. She said he was one of the ships engineers or something and that he only spoke Italian so they couldn't communicate but they still had a good time. Way to go Lucy! After dinner we got our pictures taken at every photo stop along the deck but the photographers hated us because we wouldn't do their boring poses instead we got on the background and posed how we felt we needed to pose for that background. It was fun. After dinner we came back to he room and changed out of our dresses so we could relax at the bars a little. While we were in our room the cruise director came on the PA and announced that we had turned around and gone 2 hours out of hour way because some one needed a hospital and we were going to meet the coast guard off the coast of Spain. Oh well. So anyway after we changed we went and saw a really bad comedian and then went to the piano bar which was actually on fire finally. The first time we had gone it was boring. So we closed the piano bar down and then went and closed down the disco. I finally got back to the room at about 5:45 am and fell right to sleep. I thought about staying up for another hour to see the actual dawn of my 30's but I was asleep before I even finished that thought.

Happy Birthday to me!
